Chris Parthun: Chris, a veteran paddler of more than thirty years, brings a wealth of experience to our guiding team. He first canoed the Boundary Waters while in high school back in 1969 and has been returning ever since. Growing up backpacking and canoeing, as well as hunting and fishing with his father, taught him respect and appreciation for nature. Wilderness paddling has become his greatest passion and has enabled him to become an expert on gear, backcountry camping, and wilderness etiquette. In addition, Chris’ clients have marveled at his mouth-watering culinary skills. With separate degrees in Environmental Studies and Geography, Chris enjoys integrating his knowledge of the environment with an appreciation of where things are. Chris’ trips will always have you coming away with a better understanding of the wilderness, and a heightened appreciation for stewardship of our natural resources. His experience and dedication to his trips and our clients make him a joy to be with on any adventure you may want to take. |

Adam Masloski: If it has to do with being in the wilderness, Adam loves it! This love of the outdoors is what initially drew Adam to the Ely area. Two weeks of vacation every year just wasn’t cutting it for him, so
he made the move to make a go of things in the beautiful Northwoods. Adam has been fishing since he can remember (much of it in the Ely area) and if the fish are biting on a particular lake, that’s where he’ll be. The best part is, after years of Boundary Waters trips and exploring the hundreds of lakes that Ely
has to offer, he has found that they’re always biting somewhere. When not in the woods or on the lake, he works in town for the Timberjay Newspapers as a writer, photographer and ad salesmen. He also works part-time as the social worker at the Ely Nursing Home. The older folks have given Adam a great inside edge on
some of the area’s long forgotten hot spots. Couple this knowledge with what he has learned on his own and the fishing is on. |
